2. Imej ialah gambar yang dirakam menggunakan peranti media fizikal seperti kamera digital dan pengimbas.
3. Terdapat beberapa jenis fail imej yang boleh dibezakan mengikut formatnya.
4. Format fail imej dapat ditentukan melalui nama sambungan fail. contoh format fail imej ialah BMP (.bmp), JPEG (.jpeg), dan TIFF (.tiff).
